FAQ
Why are spaces and special characters percent-encoded in URLs?
RFC 3986 dictates that URLs can only contain specific unreserved ASCII characters. Non-ASCII characters and delimiters like spaces must be escaped to prevent transport corruption.
Can I paste a full web address including https://?
This tool is optimized for URL component encoding. If you encode a full URL with https://, structural delimiters such as : and // will also be escaped.
Are my query parameters or API tokens submitted to any server?
No. All conversions happen entirely on the client side using your web browser JavaScript engine. Your parameters remain strictly private.
